The challenges suffered throughout healthcare in 2020 exposed the need for innovation and amplified the need for technology in all areas. Shavonda was one of the founding members of Teletherapeutics, a healthcare innovation company created for the purpose of identifying strategies to propel health services into the future. Partnered with innovators and practitioners to create virtual health services that optimized access for vulnerable populations with cost efficiencies. Shavonda Sumter has dedicated her career to healthcare and mental health service access. Her work in health services spans over 20 years working with health systems throughout New Jersey that include HackensackMeridian UMC Mountainside. Shavonda received her Master’s in Business Administration from the Fairleigh Dickinson University Silberman College of Business and attended Kean University for her undergraduate degree in Political Science.

SYED KAZMI

MEDICAL DIRECTOR

Dr. Syed Kazmi is an established and highly skilled medical professional with over 25 years of experience. He graduated with a Bachelor of Medicine , Bachelor of Surgery in 1986 from DOW Medical School in Karachi, Pakistan. He is well regarded in the Southern California Medical community and has affiliations with hospitals such as UCI Medical Center, Fountain Valley Regional Hospital, St. Peter’s Medical Center, Robert Wood Johnson Hospital (RWJH), College Hospital and Somerset Medical Center. During his time at the UCI Medical Center, Dr. Kazmi focused his time on pathology management and services. Since then, he has also established care to numerous nursing homes which specialize in isosteric intensive testing including nucleic acid augmentation. He has also been actively involved in providing nursing home facilities with COVID testing throughout the entirety of the pandemic. Given his experience and expertise, Dr. Kazmi joined the role as Vice President of Operations Post Acute Care for the Consolidated Bioanalytical Services.

DR. MIKLOS A. VASARHELYI

Miklos A. Vasarhelyi [Ph.D in MIS (UCLA) MBA (MIT) and BS in Economics and Electrical Engineering (the State University of Guanabara and Catholic University of Rio de Janeiro)]. Professor Vasarhelyi is currently the KPMG Distinguished Professor of Accounting Information Systems and Director of the Rutgers Accounting Research Center (RARC) & Continuous Auditing and Reporting Laboratory (CARLAB) at Rutgers University. He has published more than 200 journal articles,20 books, and directed over 45 PhD theses. He is the editor of the Artificial Intelligence in Accounting and Auditing series and the Journal of Emerging Technologies in Accounting. Professor Vasarhelyi is credited with the original continuous audit application and as the leading researcher in this field. The CAR Lab’s projects include among others AICPA’s Radar, Siemens, KPMG, P&G, AICPA, CA Technologies, and Itau- Unibanco. Prof. Vasarhelyi has been awarded the Outstanding Educator of the year by the AAA in 2014, AICPA distinguished scholar in 2018, the Wasserman award by ISACA in 2013, and the outstanding manuscript of the AAA in 2021
